occurs. The line shall be located as near as practicable to 100
feet from the entrance and exit and shall be established after
consideration of the configuration of the entrance and the effect
of placement on public safety and the flow of pedestrian and
vehicular traffic. The signs shall contain the following or
comparable language: "No Electioneering Beyond this Point".

(ii) In Anne Arundel, Cecil, CHARLES, Harford,
Kent, and Queen Anne's Counties, [no person may] TO canvass,
electioneer, or post any campaign literature or material on
election day in a polling place or within a 300 foot radius from
the entrance and exit of the building closest to that part of the
building in which voting occurs.

(b) A person who violates a provision of this section is
subject to a fine, on conviction, of not less than $50 or more
than $500, or imprisonment for not more than 60 days, or both.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

(Senate Bill 378)

AN ACT concerning

Gas and Electric Submetering in Apartment Houses -
Installation and Regulation

FOR the purpose of requiring the Public Service Commission to
approve certain metering equipment that does not determine
the actual use of gas or electricity; specifying that
certain complaints regarding metering shall be sent to the
Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney
General; generally relating to the installation and
regulation of gas and electric metering in certain
residential units; and making this Act an emergency measure.
