(D) TIME AND PLACE OF COURSES.
IF FEASIBLE, CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES SHALL BE OFFERED
AT REASONABLE INTERVALS IN EACH COUNTY AND IN EACH MAJOR
GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF THE LARGER COUNTIES.
(E) CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION.
ON COMPLETION OF A CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE BY A
LICENSEE, THE ENTITY THAT CONDUCTED THE COURSE OR THE INSTRUCTOR
SHALL ISSUE THE LICENSEE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION THAT STATES
THE NUMBER OF CLOCK HOURS OF THAT COURSE.
(F) WAIVER.
THE COMMISSION MAY WAIVE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION
FOR A LICENSEE IF THE LICENSEE SHOWS GOOD CAUSE FOR BEING UNABLE
TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS.
SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENT: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
217(f), except for paragraph (iii) of subsection
(f)(1) and the second clause of the second sentence of
paragraph (3) and the fourth sentence of paragraph (4)
of that subsection.
In subsection (a) of this section, the former,
specific reference to the date after which a licensee
is required to meet certain continuing education
requirements to renew a license is deleted as
obsolete.
In subsection (c)(1)(ii) and (iv) of this section, new
language is added to clarify that continuing education
courses may be conducted by professional organizations
other than the Maryland Association of Realtors or its
member boards or the Real Estate Brokers of Baltimore
City, Inc.
In subsection (e) of this section, the specific
references to the "entity that conducted the course"
and the "instructor" are added to clarify who issues a
certificate of completion.
In subsection (f) of this section, new language is
added to clarify that the Commission may waive the
continuing education requirements of this section only
for a licensee who shows good cause for being unable
to meet the requirements.
The fourth sentence of former Art. 56, § 217(f)(4),
which provided that a licensee may elect the
continuing education courses that the licensee takes
