(4) LICENSE FEES COLLECTED UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL
BE PAID TO THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND CREDITED TO THE GENERAL
FUNDS OF THE COUNTY.

(D) (1) A PERSON, CORPORATION, OR OTHER ENTITY WHO KEEPS,
MAINTAINS, OR OPERATES A COIN OPERATED GAME IN VIOLATION OF THIS
SECTION, OR IN VIOLATION OF A REGULATION ISSUED UNDER THIS
SECTION, IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT
TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $1,000.

(2) IN ADDITION TO THE MONETARY PENALTY PROVIDED IN
PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION, A PERSON CONVICTED FOR
VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION MAY BE IMPRISONED IN THE CARROLL COUNTY
JAIL FOR A TERM NOT EXCEEDING 60 DAYS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Landlords and Tenants - Petition of Injunction -
District Court Jurisdiction

FOR the purpose of granting a tenant the right to seek injunctive
relief for the repair of serious and dangerous defects if
the landlord has not repaired the defects within a certain
period of time; granting the District Court exclusive
original civil jurisdiction in certain petitions of
injunction filed by a tenant; granting the District Court
the power to order a landlord to make certain repairs or
correct certain conditions; and generally relating to the
rights of tenants and the jurisdiction of the District
Court.
