(7) NOTHING IN THIS SUBSECTION MAY BE CONSTRUED TO
PROHIBIT ANY PERSON FROM KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY AGREEING TO
GUARANTEE PAYMENT FOR THE COST OF AN APPLICANT'S CARE.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That within 6 months
after approval of the regulations adopted pursuant to § 19 308.3
of the Health - General Article, the Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene shall review all applications and contracts for
admission that are being used by facilities for compliance with
those regulations.
SECTION 4 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning
Blind Industries and Services of Maryland -
Board of Trustees
FOR the purpose of requiring that 4 of the members of the Board
of Trustees of the Blind Industries and Services of Maryland
shall be appointed from a list submitted by the National
Federation of the Blind of Maryland, establishing that 4 of
the 11 trustees must be either blind or individuals with
knowledge and expertise concerning the needs and abilities
of the blind community; requiring that the list contain a
certain number of names a certain report of the board
include a certain discussion; making certain technical
changes; and generally relating to the Board of Trustees of
the Blind Industries and Services of Maryland.
