AN ACT concerning

Physicians - Immunity from Civil Liability

FOR the purpose of making physicians immune from civil liability
under certain circumstances for giving certain medical
institutions information relating to the qualifications,
fitness, or character of a physician.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 14-603

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

14-603.

(a) This section applies to:

(1)  The Faculty;

(2)  A component medical society of the Faculty;

(3)  A committee of the Faculty or of a component
medical society of the Faculty;

(4)  A hospital, related institution or other health
care facility staff committee;

(5)  A hospital, related institution, or other health
care facility credentials committee or its equivalent;

(6)  The chief executive officer of a hospital,
related institution, or other health care facility;

(7)  The dean of any medical school in this State;

(8)  A member of the Board;

(9)  A member of the Commission or its agents or
employees;
