AN ACT concerning
Water Appropriation or Use - Permits
FOR the purpose of removing from the State's water appropriation
or use law certain exemptions for farming, municipalities
appropriating water prior to a certain period, persons
appropriating water prior to a certain date, and the United
States or its agencies; revising certain permit exemptions
for domestic and agricultural users; establishing a priority
for water appropriation during water supply emergencies;
revising the hearing waiver for certain minimal water users;
providing a hearing waiver for certain agricultural water
users; requiring the Department of Natural Resources to
waive certain notice and hearing requirements for certain
requested appropriation or use of waters in effect prior to
a certain date; setting standards for certain water
measuring and reporting requirements; exempting certain
agricultural water users from certain time and correction
requirements on permits; requiring the advice and consent of
the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture before
adoption of certain regulations; and generally relating to
administration of the water appropriation or use law.
