(A) THE DEPARTMENT MAY NOT ACCEPT ADDITIONAL ACREAGE INTO
THE PROGRAM AFTER JUNE 30, 1991; AND
(B) (1) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL CONTINUE TO ADMINISTER THE
CONTRACTS ENTERED INTO BY THE DEPARTMENT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF § 8-802(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE, THAT ARE IN EFFECT ON
JUNE 30, 1991.
(2) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ADMINISTER THESE CONTRACTS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS IN EFFECT ON JUNE 30, 1991.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988. It shall remain effective for a period
of three years and, subject to the provisions of § 8-806 of the
Agriculture Article as added by Section 1 of this Act, at the end
of June 30, 1991, and with no further action required by the
General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further
force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Creation of a State Debt - Calvert County Jail
FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount of $200,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant
to the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County to
plan for the expansion, enlargement, and addition to the
Calvert County Jail, subject to the requirement that the
Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County provide an
equal and matching fund of a certain kind for the same
purpose by a certain date; and providing generally for the
issuance and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur
indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland through a State
loan to be known as the Calvert County Jail Loan of 1988 in the
total principal amount of $200,000. This loan shall be evidenced
by the issuance, sale, and delivery of State general obligation
bonds authorized by a resolution of the Board of Public Works and
