SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

159.

(e) (1) [Members] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF
THIS SUBSECTION, MEMBERS of the boards shall serve for a term of
two years.

(2) Members of the boards in the following counties
shall serve for terms as specified:

(I) CHARLES COUNTY ....................   4   YEARS

[(i)] (II) Garrett County .............   6   years

[(ii)] (III) Harford County ...........   3   years

[(iii)] (IV) Somerset County..........   4   years

[(iv)] (V) Worcester County...........   4   years

Article 49D - Office of Children and Youth

(a)  The children's councils are a part of the Maryland
Office for Children and Youth and exercise the powers and duties
specified in this article.

(b)  There shall be a children's council in each county and
Baltimore City.

(c)  Each children's council is appointed by the chief
executive officer of that subdivision and includes
representatives of the local departments of health, education,
and social services and members appointed at large.

[(d) Of the members initially appointed:

(1)  One-half shall serve for a term of two years; and

(2)  The remainder shall serve for a term of three
years. ]
