(1)  Any record and other information obtained by the
Faculty, a component society of the Faculty, THE MARYLAND
INSTITUTE FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES SYSTEMS, a hospital
staff committee, or a national medical society or group organized
for research, if that record or information identifies any
person; and

(2)  Any record of a proceeding or transaction before
the Faculty or one of its committees that relates to any
investigation or report under § 14-501 of this title as to an
allegation of grounds for disciplinary or other action.

(A) IN THIS SECTION, "THE MARYLAND INSTITUTE FOR EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICES SYSTEMS" MEANS THE STATE EMERGENCY SERVICES
PROGRAM DESCRIBED IN § 13-110(C) OF THE EDUCATION ARTICLE.

(a) (B) This section applies to:

(1)  The Faculty;

(2)  A component medical society of the Faculty;

(3)  A committee of the Faculty or of a component
medical society of the Faculty;

(4)  A COMMITTEE APPOINTED BY OR ESTABLISHED IN THE
MARYLAND INSTITUTE FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES SYSTEMS;

[(4)] (5) A hospital, related institution or other
health care facility staff committee;

[(5)] (6) A hospital, related institution, or other
health care facility credentials committee or its equivalent;

[(6)] (7) The chief executive officer of a hospital,
related institution, or other health care facility;

[(7)] (8) The dean of any medical school in this
State;

[(8)] (9) A member of the Board;

[(9)] (10) A member of the Commission or its agents
or employees;

[(10)] (11) A casualty insurer writing medical
professional liability insurance in this State; and

[(11)] (12) A utilization committee of:

(i) A nonprofit health service plan; or
