AN ACT concerning

Pensions - Agencies on Aging

FOR the purpose of designating certain agencies on aging as a
municipal corporation for purposes of inclusion in the State
Employees' Retirement and Pension Systems; and making
technical corrections; defining certain terms and clarifying
language; and generally relating to municipal corporations
for purposes of inclusion in the State Employees' Retirement
and Pension Systems.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 73B - Pensions

163.

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings
indicated.

(B) "AGENCY ON AGING" MEANS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES:

(1)  AREA AGENCY ON AGING;

(2)  DORCHESTER COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING, INC. ;

(3) MAC, INC.;

(4) (3) SOMERSET COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING, INC.;
(5) UPPER SHORE AGING, INC.;

(6) (4) WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING, INC;
AND

(7) (5) WORCESTER COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING, INC.

[(b)] (C) "Employee", as used in this subtitle, means the
officers and employees of a municipal corporation who are
