AN ACT concerning

Education - Rehabilitation and Employment Advisory Commission

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

21-308.

(A) TO ENHANCE THE PUBLIC INTEREST, IT IS THE POLICY OF THE
STATE:

(1) TO PROMOTE THE AVAILABILITY OF EMPLOYMENT AND
REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE IN NEED
OF THESE SERVICES; AND

FOR the purpose of creating a Rehabilitation and Employment
Advisory Commission within the Division of Vocational
Rehabilitation of the Department of Education; specifying
the membership of the Commission; requiring the Commission
to develop a plan for certain purposes; requiring the
Commission to annually update the plan by a certain date and
to report certain findings and recommendations to certain
entities; specifying certain State policy; providing for the
staggering of the terms of the members of the Commission;
and generally relating to the creation, composition, and
duties of the Rehabilitation and Employment Advisory
Commission.
