AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Abandoned Vehicles - Prince George's County

PG 412-88 Definitions

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of the term "police
department" as it applies to certain provisions of law
relating to abandoned vehicles to include, under certain
circumstances, the Prince George's County Department of
Environmental Resources and, in any municipality in Prince

George's County, an appropriate agency or department

designated by the governing body of the municipality,
certain municipal agencies, and the police force of any
State Government agency; providing for the construction of
this Act; and generally relating to the definition of
"police department" as it applies to abandoned vehicles.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

25-201.

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings
indicated.

(d) "Police department" means:

(1)  The Maryland State Police;

(2)  The police department of any political
subdivision of this State;
