CHAPTER 201

(House Bill 421)

AN ACT concerning

Harford County Liquor Control Board
and Anne Arundel County Board of License Commissioners

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Harford County Liquor Control
Board and Anne Arundel County Board of License Commissioners
to obtain police records on alcoholic beverages license
applicants and their agents; requiring the Board respective
boards to destroy those records after their use; and
clarifying language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 56

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

56.

(A)  IN THIS SECTION, "COUNTY POLICE" AS IT APPLIES TO
HARFORD COUNTY INCLUDES THE HARFORD COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
AND ALL HARFORD COUNTY MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENTS.

(B)  Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, every
new application for a license shall be made to the board of
license commissioners or the clerks of court upon forms
prescribed by the Comptroller and sworn to by the applicant.
Every application for a license shall contain the following
statements:

(1)  The class of license desired;

(2)  The name and residence of the applicant and how
long he has resided at that address;
