(6) IN THE CASE OF A CLAIM AGAINST A PHYSICIAN, THE
DIRECTOR SHALL FORWARD COPIES OF THE CERTIFICATES FILED UNDER
PARAGRAPHS (1) AND (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION TO THE MARYLAND
COMMISSION ON MEDICAL DISCIPLINE OF MARYLAND OR ITS SUCCESSOR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Ambulatory Surgical Centers and Facilities Study - Reporting Date

FOR the purpose of changing the reporting date of a study on
ambulatory surgical centers and facilities by the Joint
Committee on Health Care Cost Containment.

Preamble

WHEREAS, Chapter 864 of the Acts of 1986 altered the
definition of ambulatory surgical facility to include certain
ambulatory surgical facilities or centers under certificate of
need requirements administered by the State Health Resources
Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 864 of the Acts of 1986 required the Joint
Committee on Health Care Cost Containment to study the effects of
that Act and report its findings and recommendations to the
General Assembly on or before January 1, 1988; and
