Nor shall anything in this subtitle apply to a private membership
club which is a bona fide club and which is exempt from taxation
under § 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code [of 1954].

Article 56 - Licenses

31A.

(f) At least 30 days prior to the date of intended sale,
each transient vendor shall furnish to the county commissioners
of the county in which the vendor intends to do business a
verified, written application that contains the following:

(6) The applicant's Maryland State [retail sales]
SALES AND USE tax number;

31B.

(f) At least 30 days before the date of intended sale, each
transient vendor shall furnish to the County Commissioners of
Frederick County a verified, written application that contains
the following:

(6) The applicant's Maryland State [retail] sales AND
USE tax number;

[Every person, club, corporation or association which may
hold or exercise any of the privileges conferred by this subtitle
shall, within 72 hours after the determination of every contest,
furnish to the Commission a written report, under oath, showing
the exact number of tickets sold for such contest, and the amount
of gross proceeds thereof, and such other matters as the
Commission may prescribe, and shall also within the said time pay
to the said Commission a license fee of ten per centum (10%) of
its total gross receipts from the sale of tickets of admission
and the sale of radio, television or motion picture rights to
such boxing or sparring or wrestling match, contest or
exhibition, with a minimum fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00)
where four (4) or less persons are employed for said contest, and
a minimum fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00) where five (5) or
more persons are employed for said contest, which license fees
shall be paid to said Commission; provided that the Amateur
Athletic Union and the Young Men's Christian Association shall be
exempted from payment of any license fee in connection with any
amateur boxing, sparring or wrestling matches held under the
auspices or sanction of either of the said organizations, but
shall be subject to all the other provisions of this subtitle,
and to such rules and regulations as have been or shall be
adopted by the said Commission; and provided further that in
Allegany County duly constituted posts of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars or of the American Legion and every organization of the
