SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the publisher of
the Code is directed to show § 9-313 of the Tax - General Article
as a reserved section, preceding Part III. Tax Payment.

SECTION 3 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 1
of this Act shall take effect July June 1, 1988 and shall remain
effective through December 31, 1988. On January 1, 1989, and
with no further action required by the General Assembly, Section
1 of this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and
effect.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 3 of
this Act shall take effect July June 1, 1988.

SECTION 4 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2
Sections 2 and 4 of this Act shall take effect January 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program

FOR the purpose of altering provisions of the Vehicle Emissions
Inspection Program and extending the program; altering the
frequency of required testing; altering definitions;
altering certain inspection requirements, test procedures,
and penalties; exempting certain emergency vehicles from a
certain inspection; providing for the payment of a certain
fee by personal check; establishing a certain penalty;
adding certain vehicles to this program; requiring a certain
study; and generally relating to the Vehicle Emissions
Inspection Program.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 23-104, 23-201 through 23-208, inclusive
