In subsection (a) of this section, the defined term
"county" is substituted for the former references to a
"political subdivision", for clarity.

Also in subsection (a) of this section, the former
words "and not elsewhere" are deleted as unnecessary
since the law lists the only counties where an action
may be filed.

In subsection (b) of this section, the reference to
final acceptance by "the public body" is added, for
clarity.

17-110. SHORT TITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND LITTLE MILLER
ACT".

17-201. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE, UNLESS THE CONTEXT INDICATES OTHERWISE,
THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former SF § 12-301(a).

The former phrase "and unless otherwise provided" is
deleted as surplusage.

(B)  APPRENTICE.

"APPRENTICE" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO:

(1)  IS AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD;

(2)  HAS SIGNED WITH AN EMPLOYER OR EMPLOYER'S AGENT,
AN ASSOCIATION OF EMPLOYERS, AN ORGANIZATION OF EMPLOYEES, OR A
JOINT COMMITTEE FROM BOTH, AN AGREEMENT INCLUDING A STATEMENT OF:
