Ch. 48                                          LAWS OF MARYLAND

THE COUNCIL SHALL DISCUSS AND ADVISE THE BOARD ON:

(1) PROBLEMS WITH THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS; AND

(2) RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT OF THE PROCESS.

(1)  THE COUNCIL MAY STUDY AND ANALYZE MATTERS WITHIN
THE JURISDICTION OF THE BOARD.

(2)  AS DIRECTED BY THE. BOARD, THE COUNCIL SHALL
DISCUSS AND ADVISE THE BOARD ON:

(I)  PROBLEMS IN THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS; AND

(II)  RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT OF THE
PROCESS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language added to avoid repetition of the full title
"Procurement Advisory Council".

Subsections (b), (c)(1) through (5) and (7), and (d)
through (h) of this section are new language derived
without substantive change from the first and third
sentences of former SF § ll-106(a).

Subsection (c)(6) of this section is added for
clarity.

The Procurement Revision Review Committee notes,     for

the consideration of the General Assembly, that   the

law does not specify who appoints the member from     the
general public.

12-106. OTHER ADVISORY BODIES.

THE BOARD MAY ESTABLISH OTHER ADVISORY BODIES.

without substantive change from the second sentence of
former SF § ll-106(a).

12-107. AUTHORITY OF PRIMARY PROCUREMENT UNITS OVER
