"STATE" MEANS:

(1)  A STATE, POSSESSION, TERRITORY, OR COMMONWEALTH
OF THE UNITED STATES; OR

(2)  THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
avoid repetition of phrases such as "state,
possession, territory, the District of Columbia, or
the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or the Northern
Mariana Islands".

(U) SUPPLIES.

(1)  "SUPPLIES" MEANS:

(I)  INSURANCE;

(II)  TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY;

(III)  PRINTING; AND

(IV)  SERVICES NECESSARILY ASSOCIATED WITH
INSURANCE OR TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY.

(2)  "SUPPLIES" DOES NOT INCLUDE AN INTEREST IN REAL
PROPERTY.

Paragraph (l)(iv) of this subsection is revised to
include services necessarily associated with
"insurance" or "tangible personal property", to
resolve the ambiguous reference to "services
necessarily associated therewith", which formerly
followed immediately after the reference to "insurance
or tangible personal property". The Procurement
Revision Review Committee notes, for the consideration
of the General Assembly, that the revision does not
include a reference to services associated with
"printing", since the former word "therewith" preceded
the reference to "printing".
