AN ACT concerning

Dorchester County - Personal Property Lease Agreements

DC 1-88

FOR the purpose of including Dorchester County among those
counties in which the County Commissioners may lease or
lease/purchase personal property under certain
circumstances, pay interest, and pledge and assign that
personal property, under certain conditions;
cross-referencing this provision in the local laws; and
clarifying language and structure.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

9D.

(A) [The County Commissioners of] THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY
TO THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:

(1)  Caroline County,

(2)  Charles County, [or]

(3)  DORCHESTER COUNTY, AND

(4)  Garrett County.[, in addition to, but not in
substitution of, the powers which have been or may hereafter be
granted the county, and in the exercise of its borrowing power,
shall have full power and authority to purchase].
