LAWS OF MARYLAND

by a county health department under the authority provided by

local law, ordinance, or regulation in accordance with [§

4-304(b) and (c)] § 21-304(B) AND (C) of this subtitle shall

constitute the license required under this subtitle, unless the

Department, after a hearing, determines that the licensee is not

in compliance with this subtitle and regulations adopted under
this subtitle.

21-307.

(a) To qualify for a license, an applicant shall:

(3) Pay the license fee assessed under [§ 4-308] §
21-308 of this subtitle, unless exempted from the fee under this
subtitle or any rule or regulation adopted under this subtitle.

21-309.

(a) (1.) Except as provided in [the Administrative Procedure
Act] TITLE 10, SUBTITLE 4 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE and in
paragraphs (2) and (3) of this subsection, and unless it is
renewed for another term, a license expires 1 year from the date
of issuance or renewal or as provided by local law, ordinance, or
regulation in accordance with [§ 4-304(b) and (c)] § 21-304 (B)
AND (C) of this subtitle.

(2)  Except as provided in [the Administrative
Procedure Act] TITLE 10, SUBTITLE 4 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT
ARTICLE, and unless it is renewed for another term, a license to
operate a crab meat plant expires on April 1 of each year.

(3)  Except as provided in [the Administrative
Procedure Act] TITLE 10, SUBTITLE 4 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT
ARTICLE, and unless it is renewed for another term, a license to
operate a shellfish plant expires on August 31 of each year.
