reference, in present Art. 2B, § 2(a), to "cider" is
omitted as included in the defined term "wine".

(C)  ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE.

"ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE" MEANS AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
LICENSE OR PERMIT ISSUED UNDER ARTICLE 2B OF THE CODE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added for
clarity and to avoid repetition of phrases such as
"alcoholic beverage license or permit issued under
Article 2B".

Defined term: "Alcoholic beverage" § 5-101

(D)  BEER.

(1)  "BEER" MEANS A BREWED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE.

(2)  "BEER" INCLUDES:

(I)  ALE;

(II)  PORTER; AND

(III)  STOUT.

repeats the provisions of present Art. 2B, § 2(b).

Defined term: "Alcoholic beverage" § 5-101

(E)  CONSUMER.

"CONSUMER" MEANS A PERSON WHO BUYS, POSSESSES, OR TRANSPORTS
AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE FOR A PURPOSE OTHER THAN SELLING THE
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language that
repeats the provisions of present Art. 2B, § 2(t).

The defined term "person" is substituted for the
present references to a "natural" person and'
"corporation", for clarity and consistency.

The references to elements of illegal consumption or
possession -- i.e., the age of consumers and the
interdiction of a corporation "by this article or any
other law of this State" -- are omitted as unnecessary
for purposes of this title.
