Article 27A - Public Defender
10.
(a) In each district, there is hereby created a district
advisory board, which shall be composed of five (5) members, of
which three shall constitute a quorum for all business. One of
the members shall be a judge of the circuit court or District
Court in the district, and the other four [of the] members shall
be active attorneys-at-law, admitted to practice before the Court
of Appeals of Maryland. The members of the board shall be
residents of the district and shall be appointed by the Governor
for terms of three years. Any vacancy occurring on any district
advisory board during the term of any member shall be filled by
the Governor for the remainder of the unexpired term. The
Governor shall annually designate a chairman of each district
advisory board, who shall preside over and represent the
interests of the board in carrying out the provisions of this
article.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This deletes extraneous language in Article
27A, § 10(a).
The extraneous language was contained in Ch. 209 of
the Acts of 1971.

(e) Sections 7-115, 7-118, 7-119, 7-113, 8-118, 8-101,
8-107, 8-119, 8-112, AND 8-109 of this article do not apply to
the area of any such municipal corporation, except as hereinafter
provided.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: . This corrects the omission of a conjunction
in Article 28, § 7-105(e).
The conjunction, "and", was omitted from Ch. 892 of
the Acts of 1975, as transferred from the Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County and Montgomery County.
The omission of the conjunction was noted by the
