Ch. 136

of his original appointment to the classified service, the
employee is not entitled to any vacation leave or compensation
for vacation leave. Subject to the exceptions of this subsection
and excluding employees covered under collective bargaining
agreements, every classified employee, unclassified employee, or
appointed official, upon the termination of his State service,
shall be entitled to receive a sum equivalent to one tenth of his
established biweekly amount of compensation at the time his
employment terminates, multiplied by the number of days of his
earned and unused annual leave which was accumulated as of the
end of the last calendar year preceding termination (subject to a
maximum accumulation of [35] 45 working days) and the number of
days of annual leave and no more than two 2 days compensatory
leave earned and unused during the calendar year in which
employment is terminated.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

(Senate Bill 111)

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Dorchester County Jail

FOR the purpose of amending the provisions of the Dorchester
County Jail Loan of 1985 to provide an extension of time for
the Board of County Commissioners of Dorchester County to
present evidence satisfactory to the Board of Public Works
that a certain matching fund will be provided.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 238 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1985
Section 1(5)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
