contracts for architectural and engineering services costing more
than $5,000, shall be awarded on a. competitive basis which shall
consist of either sealed competitive bids or competitive
negotiation as defined in [Article 21, § 3-101(b)] § 13-101(B) OF
THE STATE FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT ARTICLE.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an obsolete cross-reference
in Article 25, § 3(1)(4).

Article 21, § 3-101(b) became § 13-101(b) of the State
Finance and Procurement Article in Ch. 12 of the Acts
of the Regular Session of 1985.

(pp) (3) (ii) The effective date of any plan established by
the Board of County Commissioners shall conform to the provisions
of Article 73B, [§§ 28 and 138] § 168 of the Code that concern
the withdrawal by a county, municipal' corporation, or other
political subdivision of the State from the Employees' Retirement
System of the State and the Pension System for Employees of the
State and the transfer to a local retirement or pension system.

Article 73B, §§ 28 and 138 were repealed in Ch. 785 of
the Acts of the Regular Session of 1985 and were
replaced by new Article 73B, § 168.

Article 26A - Criminal Injuries Compensation Act

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section,
the following persons shall be eligible for awards pursuant to
this article:

(8) Any person who paid or assumed responsibility for
the funeral expenses of a victim who died as a result of a crime
or an eligible person who is killed as a direct result under
[subsection (a)(4) and (7) of this section] PARAGRAPHS (4) AND
(7) OF THIS SUBSECTION.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a stylistic error in internal
references in Article 26A, § 5(a)(8).

The stylistic error occurred in Ch. 312 of the Acts of
1986.
