(6) The total number of days authorized by this
special license may not exceed 40 in any calendar year.
(7) This subsection does not preclude a fire
company from obtaining a single event special Class C license
under other provisions of this section.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a punctuation error and an
obsolete reference to the State Appeal Board in
Article 2B, § 25.
The State Appeal Board was abolished in Ch. 44 of the
Acts of the Regular Session of 1985. The punctuation
error, the use of a semi-colon in the place of a
comma, occurred in Ch. 501 of the Acts of 1947.
The obsolete reference was noted by the Administrative
Office of the Courts of Maryland. The punctuation
error was noted by the professional staff of the
Legislative Division of the Department of Legislative
Reference.

(b) (5) The WS license permits the transportation of wine
and the consumption of wine for sampling purposes:
(i) On a Class B or Class B-D-7 licensed
[premise] PREMISES with the authorization of the respective
holder; or
(ii) On a [premise] PREMISES that is not
permanently licensed under this article.

(c) (1) In Montgomery County it is unlawful for any person,
corporation, club or organization to sell, give, serve, dispense,
keep or allow to be consumed on his or its premises or on
premises under his or its possession or control any alcoholic
beverages other than as specifically permitted or provided in
this article if these premises constitute a restaurant, tavern,
hotel, club, place of public entertainment, or [premise] PREMISES
open to the public or on premises in any way licensed in any
manner by the State of Maryland or Montgomery County. It is
unlawful for any person to keep or consume any alcoholic beverage
on any premises open to the public other than as specifically
permitted or provided in this article. This subsection does not
apply in a room of a registered guest in a hotel if the hotel
meets the minimum requirements as set forth in § 19(r) of this
article.
