AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Alcoholic Beverages License -

Application Fees
PG 311-87

FOR the purpose of altering the application fee in Prince
George's County for hew alcoholic beverages licenses;
requiring an applicant for transfer of a license in the
county to pay a certain application fee and be subject to

certain provisions that regulate the use of the fee

repealing a certain provision of law relating to fee
payments to the Prince George's County Board of License
Commissioners; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages
license fees in Prince George's County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

57.

(1) In Prince George's County, the application for a new
license, OR THE TRANSFER OF A LICENSE, of any class shall be
accompanied by payment of a fee of [two hundred ($200) dollars]
$300, [payable to the board,] which sum shall be in addition to
any other fee required for a license in Prince George's County,
and which application fee provided for herein shall not be
returned whether the license is granted or denied; such
application fee provided for herein shall be used by the board to
cover the expenses of the board in connection with its functions.
The provisions of this subsection shall not apply to any
application for a license by way of renewal [or by way of
transfer] for the same premises.
