Ch. 11

LAWS OF MARYLAND

The omission was noted by the Michie Company.

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

1.

(a) (2) It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent
that such policy will be carried out in the best public interest
by empowering the Comptroller of the Treasury, [the State Appeal
Board,] the various local boards of license commissioners and
liquor control boards, all enforcement officers and the judges
and clerks of the various courts of this State with sufficient
authority to administer and enforce the provisions of this
article.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This deletes an obsolete reference to the
State Appeal Board in Article 2B, § 1(a)(2).

The State Appeal Board was abolished in Ch. 44 of the
Acts of the Regular Session of 1985.

The obsolete reference was noted by the Administrative
Office of the Courts of Maryland.

4.

(n) (10) (ii) The report shall be filed with the State
Comptroller and [includes] SHALL INCLUDE the total number of
gallons of wine that was received for the auction and the sources
from which it was received.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a grammatical error in
Article 2B, § 4(n)(10)(ii).

The grammatical error occurred in Ch. 755 of the Acts
of 1986. Although the Michie Company corrected the
grammatical error in the 1986 Supplement to the 1981
Replacement Volume for Volume 1 of the Annotated Code,
the error must be corrected legislatively.

The grammatical error was noted by the Michie Company.

(11) The State Comptroller may   require [that] THAT,

within 7 days from the date of the [auction]   AUCTION, the permit

holder prepay a satisfactory sum to cover   the anticipated wine
tax that is due and owing.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects the omission of punctuation
in Article 2B, § 4(n)(ll).

The punctuation, commas, was omitted from Ch. 755 of
the Acts of 1986.
