AN ACT to:

(1)  repeal the provisions on trailer coach parks;

(2)  provide for the regulation of mobile home parks;

By repealing:

Chapter 54, Transit Lodging Facilities
Article III of the Montgomery County Code.

By amending:

Chapter 29, Landlord-Tenant Relations

Sections 29-1 and 29-26 of the Montgomery County Code.

Chapter 2, Administration

Section 2-112 of the Montgomery County-Code.

By adding to:

Chapter 29, Landlord-Tenant Relations

Article VII, Property Standards of Mobile Home Parks

Sections 29-66 through 29-81 of the Montgomery County Code.

Effective Date January 19, 1987.

AN EMERGENCY ACT to:

(1)  provide an exemption to the room rental and transient
tax for a private non-profit educational organization
not organized or operated for the purpose of promoting
a trade, business, or religious philosophy but that
principally houses groups of young people exclusively
for the purpose of developing leadership and
citizenship skills and promoting general public welfare

(2)  provide an exemption from the room rental and transient
tax for other nonprofit organizations; and

(3)  authorize the director of finance to abate small
amounts of taxes where the cost of collection would
exceed the amount of tax due.
