MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
the Constitution of Maryland and Sections 12 and 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland to repeal and reenact
Article III of the Charter of the Town of University Park,
entitled "Mayor and Common Council", Section 311(a), subtitle 34
"Enactment of Ordinances" to provide that no ordinance shall be
adopted at the meeting at which it is introduced, but shall be
deferred to some specified future special or regular Council
meeting held not less than six (6) days nor more than one hundred
twenty (120) days after the meeting at which the proposed
ordinance was introduced.
Section 1: Be it resolved and ordained by the Mayor and
Common Council of the Town of University Park pursuant to Article
23A, Subsections 12 and 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
1981 Replacement Volume as Amended, that Article III, Section
311(a) of the Charter of the Town of University Park is hereby
repealed and re-enacted as follows:
