CHARTER AMENDMENT

WHEREAS, Section 17-28 of the charter for the Town of
Friendsville states that registration for the Town elections is
to be on the first Monday in April in every second odd numbered
year; and

WHEREAS, Town elections are held on the fourth Monday, in
January (primary election) and the second Tuesday of February
(general election); and

WHEREAS, the present system of voter registration has been
found to be inappropriate in meeting the registration needs of
the voting public;                                                                       

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT. RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL
OF FRIENDSVILLE that Section 17-28 of the Charter of Friendsville
shall be amended as follows:

Friendsville, Garrett County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

ANNEXATION RESOLUTION NO. 2-85

A RESOLUTION of the City Council of   Fruitland proposing the

annexation to the City of Fruitland of a certain area of land

being contiguous to and binding upon the northeasterly corporate
limits of the City of Fruitland:
