SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

18-108.

(a) (1) In this section, the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(4) "Participant" means an individual who is
receiving supplemental foods or food instruments under the
Program and includes:

(ii) Breast-feeding women up to 1 year
postpartum who are breast-feeding their infants [and
supplementing with no more than 16 ounces of formula];

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
