7-310.

(c) Before a license expires, the licensee periodically may
renew it for an additional term, if the licensee:

(3) Submits to the Board:

(i) A renewal application on the form that the
Board requires; and

(ii) Satisfactory evidence of completion of:

1.  1,000 hours of active nursing practice
within the 5-year period immediately preceding the date of
renewal;

2.  A course of instruction, commonly
known as a refresher course, approved by the Board; or

3.  A preceptorship program provided by an
employer and approved by the Board.

Chapter 520 of the Acts of 1986

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, [1987] 1989.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 873.

This bill allows qualified tax exempt financial institutions
which make loans to socially or economically disadvantaged
businesses to apply to the Bank Commissioner to be examined.

Senate Bill 766, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on April 29, 1987, accomplishes the same
