1. $ 5,000,000 IN THE STATE BUDGET FOR THE
AGRICULTURAL LAND PRESERVATION FUND ESTABLISHED UNDER § 2-505 OF
THE AGRICULTURE ARTICLE;------------
2.. $1,000,000 IN THE STATE BUDGET FOR, THE
HERITAGE CONSERVATION FUND ESTABLISHED UNDER SUBTITLE 15 OF TITLE
5 OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES ARTICLE; AND
3.. $1,000,000 IN THE STATE BUDGET FOR
REDUCTION OF STATE DEBT AUTHORIZED UNDER THE OUTDOOR RECREATION
LAND LOAN OF 1969.
(3) THE BALANCE IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNTS
ALLOCATED IN SUBPARAGRAPHS (I) AND (II) OF PARAGRAPH (2) SHALL BE
ALLOCATED TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE STATE.-----------------------
(4) THE SUMS ALLOCATED IN. SUBPARAGRAPHS (I) AND
(II) OF PARAGRAPH (2) MAY NOT REVERT TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE
STATE.-----------------------------------------------------------
[(3) Unless otherwise provided by law, this
subsection shall remain in effect until June 30, 1990.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:
Article - Natural Resources
5-903.
(a) UP TO 30 PERCENT OF THE FUNDS AVAILABLE UNDER THIS
PROGRAM MAY BE APPROPRIATED FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:
(1) THE AGRICULTURAL LAND PRESERVATION FUND
ESTABLISHED UNDER § 2-505 OF THE AGRICULTURE ARTICLE;
(2) REDUCTION OF STATE DEBT AUTHORIZED UNDER THE
OUTDOOR RECREATION LAND LOAN OF 1969;
(3) THE HERITAGE CONSERVATION FUND ESTABLISHED UNDER
SUBTITLE 15 OF THIS TITLE;
(4) DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC FACILITIES ON LANDS OWNED
BY THE STATE FOR THE USE OF THE DEPARTMENT;
(5) ACQUISITION OF INTERESTS IN LAND LOCATED DIRECTLY
ALONG THE SHORELINE OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY OR ALONG THE TIDAL
PORTIONS OF MAJOR TRIBUTARIES TO THE BAY, AS APPROPRIATE TO
PROVIDE BAY ACCESS WITHOUT DISTURBING ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE
AREAS; AND
(6) THE COMPREHENSIVE FLOOD MANAGEMENT GRANT PROGRAM
ESTABLISHED UNDER § 8-9A-03 OF THIS ARTICLE.
