Insurance Amusement Rides or Attractions

Amusement Park Safety - Liability Insurance

FOR the purpose of establishing certain insurance requirements
for volunteer fire and rescue companies that operate or
lease amusement rides or attractions; allowing volunteer
fire and rescue companies to satisfy certain insurance
requirements by certain specified arrangements modifying
certain insurance requirements for amusement rides,
amusement attractions, and ski lifts; permitting the county
in which the amusement ride or attraction is located to
purchase insurance for the amusement ride or attraction; on
behalf of certain organizations; providing that a county
that merely purchases insurance for a lessee or owner of an
amusement ride or attraction is immune from liability for
personal injuries arising out of the use of the ride or
attraction; defining certain terms; repealing the exception
for ski lifts under this Act; from the application of
certain provisions; and making this Act an emergency
measure; and generally relating to the purchase of insurance
against liability for injury to persons arising out of the
use of amusement rides or attractions operated or leased by
volunteer fire and rescue companies.
