WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor

This bill defines "cyclodiene termiticides" as used in the
Agriculture Article (Section 5-210.4) and requires that they be
classified as restricted use pesticides as of October 1, 1987.

House Bill 1033, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on June 2, 1987, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 722.

AN ACT concerning

Cyclodiene Termiticides

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the distribution, possesion, sale
or offering for sale, or use or offering for use of

cyclodiene termiticides; authorizing the seizure of

cyclodiene termiticides by the Department of Agriculture
requiring cyclodiene termiticides to be classified as
restricted use pesticides after a certain date; requiring
that cyclodiene termiticides be labeled as restricted use
pesticides before a person may distribute, sell, or offer
for sale cyclodiene termiticides; specifying that cyclodiene
termiticides may only be purchased and applied by certain
persons; altering a certain definition; requiring the
Department to adopt certain regulations; defining certain
terms; providing a penalty for certain violations of this
Act or regulations adopted under it; and generally relating
to certain chemicals used for termite control.
