Ch. 11                             LAWS OF MARYLAND

(c) (3) There is a Transportation Revenue Stabilization
Account in the Transportation Trust Fund. The revenues collected
from the proceeds of the tax imposed by Article 56, § 136(f) of
the Code, after deductions provided by law, shall be credited to
the account for the purpose of a reserve fund for the State's
future transportation needs [and for the purpose of allowing the
General Assembly sufficient time to receive, evaluate, and act on
the report and recommendations to be submitted pursuant to
Section 8-403(e) of this article]. It is the intent of the
General Assembly, that no funds shall be distributed from this
account until the General Assembly enacts legislation which
provides for the allocation, distribution, and use of highway
user revenues in the Gasoline and Motor Vehicle Revenue Account
and the allocation, distribution, and use of revenues in the
Transportation Revenue Sharing Account. If the General Assembly
determines by joint resolution that no change should be made in
the manner of distribution and allocation of revenues in those
accounts, then the funds in the Transportation Revenue
Stabilization Account shall be distributed in the manner provided
for the allocation and distribution of highway user revenues in
the Gasoline and Motor Vehicle Revenue Account.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This deletes an obsolete provision in §
3-216(c)(3) of the Transportation Article.

Section 8-403(e) of the Transportation Article which

required the report and recommendations submitted to a

special committee on transportation revenues to be so

submitted by January 1, 1984, was repealed by Ch. 569

of the Acts of the Regular Session of 1985.

The obsolete provision was noted by the Michie
Company.

13-415.

(a) If a current registration card IS lost, the owner of
the vehicle for which the card was issued or the legal
representative of the owner named in the certificate of title of
the vehicle, as shown by the records of the Administration,
immediately shall apply for and, after furnishing information
satisfactory to the Administration and payment of the required
fee, is entitled to obtain a duplicate registration card or
replacement validation tabs.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects the omission of a verb in §
      13-415(a), of the Transportation Article.

The verb, "is", was omitted from Ch. 472 of the Acts
of 1986. Although the Michie Company added the verb
in the 1986 Supplement to the 1984 Edition of Volume
II of the Transportation Article, the omission must be
corrected legislatively.
