This bill lists specific data that an insurer   must   submit in

an annual report to the Insurance Commissioner,     in    a format

prescribed by the Commissioner, containing     its     liability
experience in Maryland and other states.

House Bill 243, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on June 2, 1987, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 236.

AN ACT concerning

Insurance Commissioner - Liability Insurance Reporting

FOR the purpose of providing for the collection and reporting of
certain data relating to liability insurance; defining
certain terms a certain term; providing for certain filing
deadlines; providing for the date of the first report;
requiring the Insurance Commissioner to develop a uniform
statement to be used for the filing of the report; requiring
that the Insurance Commissioner submit the collected data
and make certain recommendations to the Maryland General
Assembly, and the Governor, and the Legislative Policy
Committee on or before a certain date; providing that the
report contain certain information; requiring that the
report be made under penalty of perjury; providing for a
certain effective date for this Act; and generally relating
to filing of financial data by certain insurance companies
in this State.
