JOINT RESOLUTIONS

RESOLVED, That the Task Force report its findings and
recommendations to the General Assembly and Governor on or before
December 31, 1987; and be it further

RESOLVED, That staff for the Task Force be provided by the
Governor's office; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded by the
Department of Legislative Reference to the Honorable William
Donald Schaefer, Governor of Maryland; the Honorable Thomas V.
Mike Miller, Jr., President of the Senate of Maryland; the
Honorable R. Clayton Mitchell, Jr., Speaker of the House of
Delegates; the Honorable Louis L. Goldstein, Comptroller,
Goldstein Treasury Building, Annapolis, Maryland 21404; the
Honorable Callie Mae Heffron, President, Maryland Register of
Wills Association, P.O. Box 368, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772; Dr. H.
Louis Stettler III, Secretary of Budget and Fiscal Planning,
Goldstein Treasury Building, Annapolis, Maryland 21404; Mr. Evan
A. Chriss, Esq., Chairman of the Section of Estates and Trust Law

A House Joint Resolution concerning

Comprehensive Trauma Rehabilitation Services Coordinating Council

FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to appoint a
coordinating council to develop a comprehensive
rehabilitation services program for individuals who have
experienced traumatic injuries, document needs, establish
priorities, develop funding methods, and provide for the
objective and orderly development of a public agenda for the
coordination of trauma rehabilitation efforts in the State.

WHEREAS, Rehabilitation of traumatically injured individuals
is an investment that benefits society as a whole; and

WHEREAS, Rehabilitation is the process of providing, in a
coordinated manner, comprehensive services deemed appropriate to
meet the needs of disabled individuals of all ages; and
