JOINT RESOLUTIONS
WHEREAS, The Judicial Compensation Commission held 26
meetings between December of 1980 and January of 1987. It met
with numerous persons, including legislators, executive
officials, bar associations, and judges. The Commission
considered many aspects and facets of judicial compensation as is
shown in the report of its 1986 activities. The Commission by a
vote of 5 or more of its members has recommended judicial
salaries for fiscal year 1988; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, As recommended
by the Judicial Compensation Commission, beginning July 1, 1987,
judicial salaries, including any increases in salary which result
from a general salary increase for State employees, under Section
l-703(b) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article, shall be
as follows:

A Senate Joint Resolution concerning
Alzheimer's Disease - Continuation of Coordinating Council
FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to continue a
coordinating council to advise the Interagency Committee on
Services to the Aging on the review, coordination,
formulation and implementation of certain programs relating
to Alzheimer's disease and related disorders and other
diseases and conditions afflicting the aged and elderly;
requiring certain reports; and requesting a study of the
