AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Bonding Authority - Public Facilities
FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 599 of the Acts of 1986 to
include the planning, design, construction, and equipping of
the Athletic Recreation Center on the campus of the
Hagerstown Junior College in the definition of "public
facilities" that the County Commissioners of Washington
County may finance and issue through the sale of general
obligation bonds in the amount of $1,000,000 as authorized
by Chapter 599 of 1986.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Chapter 599 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1986

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the County is
hereby authorized to finance any part or all of the costs of the
public facilities described in Section 1 of this Act, and to
borrow money and incur indebtedness for that purpose, at one time
or from time to time, in an amount not exceeding, in the

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That, as used herein, the term "County" means the body
politic and corporate of the State of Maryland known as the
County Commissioners of Washington County, and the term "public
facilities" means the planning, design, alteration, renovation,
rehabilitation, reconstruction, and conversion of the gymnasium
located on the campus of the Hagerstown Junior College to be a
vocational education and training center, OR FOR THE PLANNING,
DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, AND EQUIPPING OF AN ATHLETIC RECREATION
CENTER LOCATED ON THE CAMPUS OF HAGERSTOWN JUNIOR COLLEGE
including the acquisition and installation of equipment and
furnishings, together with any related architectural, financial,
legal, planning, or engineering services.
