SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall

AN ACT concerning

Foster Care. Placement - Homeless Families

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a child from being committed to
the custody or guardianship of a local department of social
services and placed in foster care solely because the
child's parent or guardian lacks shelter; requiring a local
department of social services to provide make certain
referrals to emergency shelter services and other services
for the homeless family with a child who lacks shelter;
requiring the Social Services Administration to adopt
certain regulations; and generally relating to foster care
placement for homeless children and their families.
