SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning
Washington Suburban Sanitary District -
Stormwater Management
MC/PG 26-87
FOR the purpose of transferring to Prince George's and Montgomery
counties, as of a certain date, the authority of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission for stormwater
management' within portions of the respective counties;
authorizing. the establishment of stormwater management
districts in Prince George's County and in Montgomery
County; authorizing the issuance of bonds for stormwater
management by Prince George's County and Montgomery County;
authorizing the levying of an ad valorem tax for stormwater .
management by Prince George's County and Montgomery County;
authorizing requiring the establishment of , a stormwater
management fund by Prince George's County and Montgomery
County on the establishment of a stormwater management
district; providing for the continued powers and duties of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission with respect to
the certain storm and drainage projects; providing for the
continued powers and duties of the Washington Suburban
Sanitary Commission with respect to certain storm and
surface water drainage bonds until their repayment; defining
certain terms; clarifying the responsibilities of the City
of Bowie for stormwater management within its boundaries;
providing for the stormwater management in Takoma Park and
related taxation and payment of debt service on bonds for
stormwater management in Takoma Park; creating a certain
task force; providing for the termination of this Act; and
generally relating to the transfer of responsibility for
stormwater management from the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission to Prince George's County and Montgomery County.
