Ch. 660 LAWS OF MARYLAND
[(2) Was a citizen of the United States when the
applicant enrolled in the recognized foreign medical school;
(3) Holds a document issued by the recognized foreign
medical school certifying that the applicant completed all of the
formal requirements of that school for the study of medicine,
except for its postgraduate clinical education and' social service
requirements;
(4) Takes a qualifying examination that is acceptable
to the Board and receives a score satisfactory to an approved
medical school;
(5) Is certified by the approved medical school as
having completed satisfactorily 1 academic year of supervised
clinical training under the direction of that approved medical
school; and
(6) Meets the other qualifications required by this
title.]
(2) HAS COMPLETED ALL OF THE FORMAL REQUIREMENTS FOR
THE STUDY OF MEDICINE AT THE FOREIGN MEDICAL SCHOOL, EXCEPT FOR
ITS POSTGRADUATE CLINICAL EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SERVICE
REQUIREMENTS; AND
(3) SUBMITS EVIDENCE ACCEPTABLE TO THE BOARD OF
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE FOREIGN MEDICAL SCHOOL'S
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STUDY OF MEDICINE OR FOR A FIFTH PATHWAY
PROGRAM.
[(c) If an individual meets the qualifications required by
this section and the qualifications otherwise required by §
14-305 of this subtitle, a local hospital may not require that
individual to meet any other eligibility requirements as a
condition to any postgraduate medical training at that hospital.]
(C) TO QUALIFY FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS SECTION, AN
APPLICANT WHO IS A GRADUATE OF A FOREIGN MEDICAL SCHOOL OR A
FOREIGN MEDICAL SCHOOL APPROVED BY THE BOARD SHALL BE AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO:
(1) IS OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER;
(2) IS AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE;
(3) (2) IS CERTIFIED BY THE EDUCATIONAL COMMISSION
FOR FOREIGN MEDICAL GRADUATES OR BY ITS SUCCESSOR AS APPROVED BY
THE BOARD;
(4) (3) PASSES A QUALIFYING EXAMINATION FOR FOREIGN
MEDICAL SCHOOL GRADUATES REQUIRED BY THE BOARD;
