proceedings. If after-discovered property increases the gross
value of all property of the decedent to more than [$10,000]
$20,000, any further proceeding may not be had under this
subtitle, but the administration shall proceed under the other
provisions of the estates of decedents law.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987 1988.

CHAPTER 615

(Senate Bill 423)

AN ACT concerning

Crimes and Punishments - Advertisement of Drug Paraphernalia

FOR the purpose of making it unlawful for any person to
advertise, knowing, or under circumstances where one
reasonably should know, that the purpose of the
advertisement, in whole or in part is to promote the sale or
delivery of drug paraphernalia; making a violation of the
provisions of this Act a misdemeanor; establishing penalties
for violation of the provisions of this Act; and generally
relating to advertisement of drug paraphernalia.

Section 287A(e)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

287A.

(E) (1) IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO ADVERTISE IN ANY
NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINE, HANDBILL, POSTER, SIGN, MAILING, OR OTHER
WRITING OR PUBLICATION, OR BY RADIO, TELEVISION OR SOUND TRUCK,
KNOWING, OR UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE ONE REASONABLY SHOULD KNOW,
THAT THE PURPOSE OF THE ADVERTISEMENT, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, IS TO
PROMOTE THE SALE OR DELIVERY OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.
