Housing and Community Development as proposed in Chapter ____

(S.B. 699) of the Acts of 1987, all references to the Secretary
of Economic and Community Development shall refer to the
Secretary of Economic and Employment Development. However, the
Secretary of Economic and Employment Development shall take
actions under § 13-802(4), § 13-803(c)(2), and § 13-805 of the
Financial Institutions Article as added by this Act only after
consulting with the Secretary of Housing and Community
Development.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Secretary of
Economic and Community Development shall deliver a report by
January 30 of each year (commencing with 1988) to the budget
committees of the Maryland General Assembly describing the amount
of tax-exempt bond allocation authority available for carry
forward during the preceding year under the provisions of §
13-805(e)(3), the amount of each request for carry forward
received by the Secretary during such year, and the disposition
of each such request.

SECTION 3 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 1 of
this Act shall take effect January 1, 1988.

SECTION 4 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1987.
