DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an outdated title reference
in § 6-418(b) of the Corporations and Associations
Article.

Chapter 778 of the Acts of 1984 amended Article 48A, §
172 to provide for the issue of temporary certificates
of qualification for insurance agents or brokers,
rather than temporary licenses.

The, outdated title reference was noted by the Michie
Company.

(a) The name of each limited partnership as set forth in
its certificate:

(1)  Shall contain without abbreviation the words
"limited partnership";

(2)  May not contain the name of a limited partner
unless:

(i) It is also the name of a general partner;
or                                                                           

(ii) The business of the limited partnership
had been carried on under that name before the admission of that
limited partner;
