AN ACT concerning

Medical Malpractice - Commission on Medical Discipline

FOR the purpose of strengthening the physician peer review
process by assigning an Assistant Attorney General to
assist in the investigation, development, and prosecution of
cases referred to the Commission on Medical Discipline;
altering the renewal fee for certain licensed physicians;
and generally relating to the Commission on Medical
Discipline and physician peer review.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

14-314.

(c) Before the license expires, the licensee periodically
may renew it for an additional term, if the licensee:

(1) Otherwise is entitled to be licensed;

(2) Pays to the Board a renewal fee equivalent to an
annual fee of [$25] $45; and

(3) Submits to the Board:

(i) A renewal application on the form that the
Board requires; and
