ORGANIZATION TO COMPLY WITH ARTICLE 48A, §§ 244G AND 244Y OF THE
CODE.
(d) [At his discretion, the]
(1) THE Legislative Auditor [may] SHALL conduct an
annual-audit of a fiscal and compliance nature of the accounts
and transactions of the State Accident Fund [in place of
conducting these audits on a biennial basis. Officials of the
State Accident Fund shall be advised whether annual or biennial
audits will be conducted].
(2) The cost of the fiscal portion of the post audit
examinations shall be borne by the State Accident Fund.
(3) SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT
ARTICLE, THE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR SHALL REPORT THE RESULTS OF THE
AUDIT TO THE GOVERNOR AND THE LEGISLATIVE POLICY COMMITTEE AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE AUDIT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:
Chapter 737 of the Acts of 1984, as amended by
Chapter 444 of the Acts of 1986
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984. [It shall remain effective for a
period of 5 years and, at the end of June 30, 1989, and with no
further action required by the General Assembly, Subtitle 16B.
"Regulation of Competitive Rating" as enacted by this Act shall
be abrogated and of no further force and effect. On July 1,
1986, Section 242(c) as enacted by this Act shall be revived and
the Michie Publishing Company shall include Section 242(c) in the
Annotated Code of Maryland as it existed before July 1, 1984.]
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That there shall be a
Workers' Compensation Benefit and Insurance Oversight Committee
consisting of the following members appointed by the President of
the Senate of Maryland and the Speaker of the House of Delegates:
(1) 2 members of the Senate of Maryland;
(2) 2 members of the House of Delegates;
(3) 1 representative of the Maryland business
community;
