AN ACT concerning

Service to Handicapped Children - Coordinating Councils for
Residential Placement of Handicapped Children

FOR the purpose of codifying the State Coordinating Council for
Residential Placement of Handicapped Children and the Local
Coordinating Councils for Residential Placement of
Handicapped Children; providing for the membership and terms
of members of the councils; specifying the duties of the
councils; defining certain terms; specifying what office
provides staff for the State Coordinating Council; requiring
the State Coordinating Council to make certain
recommendations to certain Secretaries; requiring the
councils to permit the parents or guardians of certain
children to attend certain meetings of the. councils;
providing for the notification of certain parents or
guardians of the date, time, and location of certain
meetings; requiring the councils to notify certain parents
or guardians in writing of certain decisions and rights of
appeal; making certain technical corrections; and generally
relating to the State and local councils for residential
placement of handicapped children.
